WELCOME BACK!!!!

WE ARE DELIGHTED TO BE BACK AT SCHOOL.

WE HAVE WELCOMED TWO NEW MEMBERS TO OUR CLASS. THEY ARE CALLED PATRICK WHO CAME FROM SCOTLAND AND DERVLA WHO CAME FROM ARMOY. THEY ARE SETTLING IN VERY WELL.

OUR FIRST TOPIC HAS BEEN MIGHTY ME. WE WERE VERY HAPPY TO BE DOING A TASTE TEST AS PART OF OUR SENSES WORK. WE TASTED BITTER, SOUR AND SWEET FOODS. HERE YOU WILL SEE US ENJOYING THE SWEET TASTES. OUR FAVOURITE!!!!

EUROPEAN LANGUAGE DAY WAS ON

SATURDAY 26TH SEPTEMBER.

As a class we decided to look at the Dutch Language. This is the language used by those who live in Holland. It is only a couple of hours away in a plane. This country is famous for its clogs and windmills.

We decided to make  a Happy Birthday flag. We learnt that LANG ZAL ZE LEVEN translated to Happy Birthday in Dutch. We played the song on our whiteboard. It was a very upbeat tune and we loved singing it. Here you can see our flags.

WE WERE DELIGHTED TO WATCH THE WITCHES BY ROALD DAHL AS WE HAD LISTENED TO MOST OF THE STORY IN CLASS. UNFORTUNATELY WE DIDN'T FINISH THE BOOK AS WE GOT AN EXTRA WEEKS' HOLIDAY.  AS IT WAS A TREAT WE GOT SWEETS AND POPCORN. WE CAN'T WAIT TO READ MORE ROALD DAHL STORIES.
WE HAVE BEEN ENJOYING P.E. OUTDOORS. TODAY WE PLAYED THREE DIFFERENT TEAM BALL GAMES. WE HAVE BEEN LEARNING TO THROW AND CATCH CORRECTLY.  IT WAS EXHAUSTING AND GREAT FUN ESPECIALLY TIME BOMB

WE LOVE PRACTICAL MATHS. WE GOT INTO GROUPS AND USED A METRE STRIP/STICK TO MEASURE THINGS IN OUR ROOM AND CLOAKROOM WHICH ARE A LONGER AND SHORTER THAN A METRE. WE ALSO MEASURED IN HALF METRES AND CENTIMETRES

EVERY MONDAY MORNING WE DO DEAR DIARY AND WE ARE VERY KEEN TO READ IT OUT TO THE REST OF THE CLASS. PLUS WE LIKE TO SHOW OFF WORK WE DO
