Music Lessons at St Patrick's and St Brigid's
Comhaltas joined our school for an assembly.
At our assembly on Friday, Mrs Kinney and her Comhaltas music group came to tell us about their music classes. The classes are held in the school every Friday night from 5:30 until 7:30pm
Anyone can join and learn a variety of traditional Irish instruments such as the violin (fiddle), banjo, harp, guitar, Irish wooden flute and the tin whistle.
The pupils from the group played a jig and a slide and answered questions about the instruments. Everyone had a great time.
