HAPPY SAINT PATRICK'S DAY
SHROVE (PANCAKE ) TUESDAY
What great fun we had making and eating pancakes. That's all the eggs, flour, milk and sugar used up. We are now ready for the period of LENT.
WE MADE BANANAS USING NEWSPAPERS.
WE ALSO BUY FAIRTRADE BANANAS AS THE PEOPLE WHO GROW AND PICK THEM GET A FAIR PRICE.

CATHOLIC SCHOOL'S WEEK
We had a very good week, learning about St Brigid. Our school is named after her. We learnt a new song and made St Brigid's Crosses with rushes and straws, it was very difficult. We has a lovely mass on Monday and finished the week by writing postcards to our grandparents.
ART AND COSTUME TIME
WE CREATED OUR OWN CARROLL DIAGRAMS.
WE ENJOYED OUR TASTE TEST. COULD WE TASTE BITTER? SOUR? SWEET? OR SALTY??
EACH MORNING WE CHOOSE A LITERACY OR NUMERACY ACTIVITY, TO PLAY FOR TWENTY MINUTES, TO GET OUR BRAIN CELLS ACTIVE, BEFORE WRITTEN WORK STARTS.
WE HAVE STARTED TO LEARN ABOUT MEASUREMENT. WE KNOW WHAT A METRE IS AND WE MEASURED OBJECTS IN OUR PLAYGROUND THAT ARE MORE THAN, LESS THAN AND THE SAME SIZE AS A METRE.
WE HAVE HURLING EVERY THURSDAY. OUR TEACHER IS CALLED DOMINIC, HE TEACHES US LOTS OF NEW SKILLS.
