A visit from Martin Fogarty, GAA National Development Officer.
On Thursday 13th February we were delighted to welcome Mr Martin Fogarty from Kilkenny to our school.
Martin is the GAA National Hurling Development Officer.
In recent years he was part of the Kilkenny coaching staff with Brian Cody.
We also discovered his name was on the signed Kilkenny shirt we have in school.
He spent the afternoon coaching P6BMN and speaking to children in P5, P6 & P7.
Martin talked to the children about learning the key skills, training hard, always trying their best and the importance of being a good team member.
Martin's key message to the children was,'' Remember we don't just play to win, we play for the love of the game.''
