Learning Area in Maths.
As part of our Maths learning, the children explored the concept of area by creating their own shapes. They used different materials to build and compare shapes, helping them to understand how area is measured and how it can vary. This hands -on activity allowed the children to develop their problem-solving skills and deepen their understanding in a fun and engaging way.
Mummifying an orange.
As part of our learning about Ancient Egypt the children carried out an exciting experiment to mummify an orange. They carefully followed the steps used by ancient Egyptians, covering the orange with salt to remove moisture. We are now observing how the orange is changing just like a real mummy would. The children thoroughly enjoyed this hands on experience and developed a deeper understanding of the mummification process.
