To celebrate Maths Week we took our learning outside. Congratulations to the Maths Week Winners who showed lots of enthusiasm in the activities they took part in.
School Council talked to us about the importance of being a good friend and making right choices when in the Playground. They also reminded the children to look out for all of the 'Playground Charter' posters which are in all of our playgrounds.
St. Patrick's & St. Brigid's PS were delighted to host the Go Fly Your Kite’s Good Relations Cultural Kite Workshops on Monday morning. The 60-minute workshop was based on the theme of Togetherness and was offered to small groups of P5 children from BIPS, Gaelscoil and St. Patrick's & St. Brigid's PS. The children had great fun tracing, colouring, building and flying their kites together. The mayor of Causeway Coast & Glens came along to see the work that the children were doing and even tried his hand at flying one of the kites!
Mrs McCarry welcomed the children back to school as we begin a new and exciting academic year.

A couple of weeks ago, M&M Theatrical Productions came from England to perform The Hobbit for our school. Primary 5, 6 and 7 thoroughly enjoyed the immersive, musical, theatrical adaptation of The Hobbit. The show was fantastic, especially because they recreated a comedy version of the classic childrens' novel by J.R.R. Tolkein. Primary 7 got an extra stagecraft workshop to help out with their school production of mary Poppins, which just added excitement to their day. Thank you M&M theatrical productions!!!
