At the end of last year a box of Nursery uniform arrived in the wrong colour. We were delighted to be able to donate them to the children of Zimbabwe Victory School. I am sure you will agree the children look very smart and proud to be wearing their St Patrick’s & St Brigid’s school uniform. 🇿🇼🥰
St. Patrick's and St.Brigid's PS & NU have been devastated and deeply saddened at the news of the untimely death of our much loved pupil Joseph Hegarty.
The whole school community of governors, staff and pupils wish to extend our deepest sympathies to Andrea, Michael and Katie and to the extended Hegarty and McIlroy families on their terrible loss.
Joe was a much loved bundle of joy, a ray of sunshine both in class and around the school with his wonderful sunny personality and charming sense of fun. He was friends with everyone and everyone knew his name. He will be greatly missed by everyone throughout the school. We offer our love, prayers and support to the Hegarty and McIlroy families and all families affected by this tragic loss in the difficult days ahead.
Well done to all the children who participated in Sean Moloney's After School Tennis and Football clubs through the year.
Sean presented prizes for his P4/5 and P6/7 World Cup tournaments; Darragh and Noah received Top Goal Scorer cups.
Congratulations to St. Patrick's and St. Brigid's PS who won the first InterSchools Tennis Tournament vs BIPS.
There were prizes for Overall Tennis Winners in P4/5, P6/7 and a special award to Esma who was Individual winner in the Inter-Schools tournament.
Conall and Luke also won individual prizes for their behaviour and sportsmanship in tennis and soccer respectively.
Congratulations to all the children who took part over the year and a big thank you to Sean for his coaching through the year.
This week we have been taking part in the Send My Friend’s Education in Emergencies Campaign.
By taking part in this campaign, we are telling the UK Government to not let emergencies prevent our friends across the world from learning.
