  St Patrick’s & St Brigid’s -Cumann na mBunscol Quiz Champions 2016

  In a closely fought North Antrim, Cumann na mBunscol quiz final, St Patrick’s & St Brigid’s students, Aoibheann D, Olivia C, Orann D & Tiernan H emerged as victors.

• National Poetry Day

  National Poetry day this year occurred on Thursday 8th October.  This year's theme was 'Light' and all children from P3-P7 wrote individual poems in a variety of styles.  The winners received a prize bag including a poetry book hopefully to inspire them further!  Assembly ended with P1 and P2 singing Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star.

  As part of their Living Things topic P2 has a visit from Eleanor Killough from the National Trust to discuss the importance of bats in the local environment.  Eleanor passed on 10 amazing facts about bats and so has earned her name "the bat lady"!
